MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS TO
TAKE ANNUAL STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENT TOUR
TO WORCESTER COUNTY ON TUESDAY

WHO:                       
Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of the Secretary and representatives from MDOT’s business units will visit Worcester County to discuss transportation investments. Representatives include:
The Secretary’s Office: Secretary Pete K. Rahn, State Legislative Officer Tom Curtin, Regional Planner Ian Beam, and Rail Program and Policy Manager Harry Romano;
MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration: Field Operations Director Rhashad Johnson and District Manager Charles Howell;
MDOT Maryland Transit Administration: Planning and Programming Director Holly Arnold;
MDOT Maryland Aviation Administration: Regional Aviation Assistance Director Ashish Solanki;
MDOT State Highway Administration: Administrator Greg Slater and District Engineer James Meredith;
Maryland Transportation Authority: Project Planning and Program Development Director Melissa Williams and Government Relations Manager Michele Gross.

WHAT:         
Sixth stop in MDOT’s annual tour of 23 Maryland counties and Baltimore City to update local officials and the public on the Hogan administration’s Draft FY 2019-2024 Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP), which details MDOT’s $16 billion six-year capital budget. Secretary Rahn will outline the state’s investments and join other state officials in answering questions about the county’s transportation priorities. WHY:                                                             
Each fall, MDOT presents its draft six-year capital program to every county and Baltimore City for review and comment. MDOT then prepares a final budget to present to the General Assembly in January. The Hogan administration’s six-year Draft FY 2019-2024 CTP invests $16 billion in Maryland’s transportation network. Above and beyond this funding, the Maryland Transportation Authority is investing another $3.3 billion in toll roads and bridges. To view the Draft CTP, click here: www.ctp.maryland.gov.
