Freight Summit, September 2007 In September 2007, we sponsored a day-long Freight Summit to focus on the problems Maryland and its region are facing with projected freight growth over the next 30 years. The summit attracted over 140 key freight transportation stakeholders and Maryland state and federal elected officials. Local and national freight experts presented the status of the current transportation infrastructure and capacity, and the issues the State and region can expect with 75 percent growth of freight in all modes of transportation.
