      New to state contracting? Start at the beginning. This class is for small businesses that have little or no knowledge of the state procurement process. We'll focus on common procurement terminology, examine how the state contracting arena operates, and provide resources to help you determine if pursuing work in the public sector would be beneficial to your company. 

      Who should attend? Small business owners who want to assess the state contracting arena and gain a basic understanding of the procurement process.

      What you need to know:
      There is no cost to attend
      Seating is limited and advance registratiion is required.
      Bring pen and paper to take notes.
      Guest WiFi is available.
      Ample free parking on-site.
      Photo ID is required upon entry to the building.
      Vending machines are located on the ground floor.

      How do you fill out your MBE forms as a prime contractor?Maryland is committed to minority inclusion in the state contracting marketplace, and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal requirements are included in most state procurements. Small business owners and certified MBE firms that want to compete as prime contractors must know how to correctly fill out the required MBE forms. Join us for a technical review of these critical forms, and a detailed discussion on the regulations that allow MBE primes to fulfill a portion of the MBE subcontracting goal.
