      What exactly is eMaryland Marketplace? Opportunities in the state contracting marketplace are advertised on eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors who want to compete in this arena must register (for free) on this electronic bid board system in order to receive solicitation notices, search for contracting opportunities, submit bids, and obtain bid results. Join us for an in-depth look at how to navigate this valuable tool and make it work for your company. Please bring pen and paper to take notes.

      Our special guest is Cristen Ervin, Training and Outreach Coordinator with the Maryland Department of General Services. She authored many of the eMaryland Marketplace User Guides in place today.

      Who should attend? Small business owners who are ready and able to perform on state-funded contracts.

      Streamlining the Proposal Development Process

      This session builds on the first session. After the Go decision is made and proposal schedule is developed, this session will dive into:

      1. How to host an effective Kick Off meeting for the proposal team
      2. How to set the proposal schedule and writing assignments so internal deadlines can be met
      3. How to gather the data you need to create a proposal with impact (i.e., the proof points you need to demonstrate your success on previous projects and the data points that show depth and breadth of experience)

      As principal of Andana Consulting, Carrie Ann Williams, CPSM works with organizations to guide proposal development and create amazing content. Carrie Ann has more than 15 years of experience successfully tracking, pursuing, proposing, and winning local, state, and federal contracts in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C), environmental and IT. Through her knowledge of the full lifecycle of government consulting, Carrie Ann has supported hundreds of government proposals and contracts as a Marketing Director, Proposal Manager, and Project Manager for several A/E/C organizations. She advises firms on market research, overall strategy, and marketing tactics and speaks on marketing topics nationwide to organizations including SAME, SMPS, AIA, and NVSBE. Carrie Ann is active with Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) where she is co-chair for the national STEM Committee, is currently an Elected Director for SAME Baltimore Post.
