    • Industry Day Time: 9:00a - 3:00p Location: Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School-Auditorium 12650 Brooke Lane Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 Details:

Hosted By: Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) and Department of Capital Programs

PGCPS will hold Industry Day on April 17th for those interested in submitting proposals to participate in the public-private partnership (P3) school construction process.  PGCPS plans to utilize the innovative P3 partnerships approach to renovate, maintain, or build new schools in a shorter timeframe and at a lower cost than the traditional process allows.  By 2026, the P3 partnership is expected to result in 18 new schools.

Hosted by the Department of Capital Programs, the session will cover various topics, including design, construction, financing, and maintenance.  Interim Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Monica Goldson, will be joined by Prince George’s County Executive, Angela D. Alsobrooks, County Council Chair, Todd Turner, and Board of Education Member, Sonya Williams, at the event.  A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be issued later this spring.

Companies may also explore opportunities to team up on projects during the event.  All companies should register in advance for inclusion on a partnering list to be shared with all participants.  Local and MBE firms are encouraged to register; their information will be shared with all potential bidders.  Interested parties unable to attend Industry Day are still eligible to submit qualifications for the project.
