    • MDOT Maryland Transit Administration All Transit Contract Opportunities Outreach Time: 8:30a - 1:00p Location: Bowie State University, Student Union Center (Wiseman Ballroom) Details:

      Representatives from MDOT MTA, Purple Line Partners, WMATA, Prince George’s County-The Bus, Montgomery County-Ride On and many Locally Operated Transit Systems (LOTS) in Maryland as well as some of MTA's Prime Contractors will be available to both present how to do business with their entity, showcase upcoming opportunities and network with businesses in attendance.

      Participants will gain insights into subcontracting as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) firms and prime contracting as Small Business Enterprises (SBE) firms. Contract opportunities will include A&E, Construction, Maintenance, Services, IT, Supplies and Equipment and small purchases. Procurement leaders will breakdown the process for participating in these contracts as either a prime contractor or a subcontractor.

      While this event is free, registration is required using Eventbrite. With 200 seats available, we ask that each business send only one representative.

      Construction Certification and Business Opportunity Matchmaking with WGL, WSSC, WMATA, and CRMSDC

      Learn how to get certified by attending the workshop conducted by the Capital Region Minority Supplier Diversity Council (CRMSDC); get matched with opportunities from Washington Gas Light (WGL), Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA); and network with your peers and friends at AACC. This 1/2 day event will provide valuable educational and business opportunities.

      BUSINESS Forum Goal:

      To increase program awareness of the agency’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Small Business Reserve (SBR), Veterans-owned Small Business Enterprise Program AND inform all companies who would like to do business with the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA)



      Informing and educating companies on various business related opportunities available to them that will help grow their business.  Also, inform them on any upcoming major projects with MDTA, other TBU’s, and in the State of Maryland



      1. Conduct workshops and group discussions that provide necessary tools for small, minority, woman and veteran owned businesses
      2. Provide businesses with one-on-one access to MDTA Procurement, Engineering, Consultant Services, Construction staff, and Prime Contractors
      3. Provide updated advertising dates for potential upcoming contracts
