Part 26, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking comments on the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and overall DBE goal for MTA, MAA, and MPOs.  In establishing the overall DBE goal, the federal regulations require that MDOT consult with minority, women’s and general contractor groups, community organizations, and other officials or organizations which could be expected to have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and efforts to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs.  As such, MDOT is providing stakeholders an opportunity to share their views by completing a survey and through participating in open stakeholder meetings.
