      Do you want to do business with the federal government? Did you know obtaining a federal certification can increase your chances of being awarded a federal government contract? Do you wonder whether your company would be eligible, and if so what the process is to apply for 8a certification? Agencies spend over $600 billion dollars in federal procurement annually and have a 23% small business goal. The SBTDC’s 8(a) Certification workshop provides information on how small businesses can better position themselves to compete more effectively in the federal marketplace. Our subject matter expert on the 8(a) certification process will review this business development program and discuss the many federal set-aside opportunities available.

    • I-495 & I-270 P3 Program Industry Forum Time: 8:00a - 12:00p Location: 1739 W. Nursery Road Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 Details:

      Hosted By: Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT-SHA)

      The I-495 and I-270 P3 Program will include improvements for over 70 miles of I-495 and I-270 in Maryland. MDOT is currently considering delivering the P3 Program as a series of long-term design-build-finance-operate-maintain revenue risk concessions. Each concession would encompass a portion of the I-495 and I-270 P3 Program and be solicited in phases.

      The Industry Forum is a half-day event where MDOT will present the status of the I-495 and I-270 P3 Program and includes an opportunity for developers and prime contractors to engage with firms including small, disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses in the P3 solicitation process.

      Individual professionals are required to register for the event.
