The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP):

  • Establishes a 20-year vision for bicycling and walking as transportation in Maryland,
  • Provides guidance and investment strategies to support bicycling and walking, and
  • Is updated every five years in coordination with the Maryland Transportation Plan

The Existing, 2014, Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan
 


 

The involvement of Maryland's citizens and representatives of many State and local governmental agencies was critical in the development of this Plan. MDOT thanks all participants for their contributions to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, and looks forward to working with all partners to implement the Plan and improving biking and walking in Maryland.
