MDOT'S JUNE MINORITY BUSINESS CERTIFICATION WORKSHOPS TO BE HELD VIA WEBINAR IN
RESPONSE TO COVID-19 EMERGENCY

HANOVER, MD – In accordance with Governor Larry Hogan's direction to promote social distancing to help limit the spread of COVID-19, the Maryland Department of Transportation's (MDOT) Office of Small and Minority Business Policy will host its next certification workshops, scheduled for 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, as online webinars.

As part of the Hogan Administration's “Maryland is Open for Business" initiative, the Office of Small and Minority Business Policy hosts free Application Assistance Workshops for firms considering certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) and/or Small Business Enterprise (SBE). The workshops cover the entire application and investigation process, core eligibility standards and the benefits of the certification. 

even as agencies respond to Governor Hogan's directives for social distancing and curtailed public interaction during the COVID-19 emergency. The webinars will help prepare small and minority businesses for opportunities as Maryland's economy comes back from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Registration for the webinars is open through the event date at MBE's Website​. Early registration is encouraged. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
